2021 Tip Fee (beginning January 1, 2021):

  • $132/tonne
  • $18 minimum fee if less than one tonne
  • $50 per refrigerant containing unit

Below you will find a list of acceptable materials and whether the tip fee applies.

  • Use the “What Goes Where” search tool to determine if an item is accepted, and whether it is recycled with the “Containers” or “Papers”

  • Residential or commercial metal accepted
  • Metal appliances that contain Freon must be tagged indicating the Freon has been removed prior to disposal.
  • No charge
  • If Freon has not been removed, the tipping fee for a refrigerant containing unit listed above will be applied.

  • Determine if an item is accepted here

Canborough shingles bin
  • Residential or commercial waste accepted
  • Accepted: tile, flooring (not including laminates), drywall, stucco, wiring, untreated wood, cabinetry, windows, doors, bricks, asphalt, toilets, sinks, piping.
  • Not Accepted: pressure treated wood, painted or stained lumber, plaster, carpet, laminates, stucco and vinyl siding. Dispose of these items in the garbage.

Canborough construction and demolition bin
  • Accepted: GENTLY USED accessories and bags, clothing (all types), curtains, general household textiles (towels, blankets, sheets), shoes and boots, sleeping bags.
  • Not Accepted: household items, electronics and sports equipment, organic and hazardous materials, any other textile items that do not fit inside the bin.
  • No charge
Canborough Canadian Diabetes Bin
  • Accepted: weeds, plant trimmings, leaves, brush, branches, tree stumps.
  • Not Accepted: kitchen scraps, grass clippings, rocks, dirt, sod, flower pots and trays, pet waste. Place these materials in the garbage.
  • Free seasonal disposal: April 4 – June 4, 2022 and September 5 – December 3, 2022
  • Tip fee applies outside of free disposal period.
